Carlos Cardenas, President of BWC, provides exemplary leadership to the company. He oversees the implementation of the business plan and ensures that the company is following the course to long-term success that he has set. Mr. Cardenas recently completed the UT Model Contractor Program certification program. He is integrally involved with each project. Mr. Cardenas personally assembled the BWC team, choosing highly qualified individuals with wide-ranging experience, relevant expertise, known reliability, and a firm commitment to high quality service.
Edwin Serrano, Business Development Manager and Estimator, oversees estimating, project management and coordination including contract negotiation, subcontract preparation, and expense and budget control. Mr. Serrano attended Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO where he received his Masters in Business Management degree with a focus in Marketing and Management. In addition, Mr. Serrano worked 12 years for Quest Diagnostics laboratories in their largest single site drug testing facility in the world before joining BWC. Mr. Serrano has extensive knowledge in Federal and local government contracting.
Rodney Gordon, Project Manager, has extensive experience managing government projects. He directs the projects undertaken by BWC, oversees implementation of each project’s quality control and safety plan, and all aspects of implementation for projects with values ranging from $25,000 to $500,000. Most recently serving as Senior Project Manager for CCI Telecom constructing radar towers worldwide, he has also worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, General Services Administration (GSA), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), U.S. Navy, U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and many others. Mr. Gordon maintains his education and credentials through frequent participation in trainings.
Sergio Cardenas, Crew Leader, is involved in the day-to-day operations for the Acoustical Treatment Program project assigned to Business World Contractors. Mr. Cardenas is responsible for the timely completion of all work associated to each residential house under his assignment. Crew scheduling, work assignments, quality control, safety, and multi-trade coordination are a few of the things that fall under his responsibility. Mr. Cardenas has overseen the successful completion of over 40 houses requiring window installation, door replacement, exterior and interior painting, HVAC replacement, minor roofing repairs, and other work associated with the Acoustical Treatment Program of San Antonio.
Monica Cardenas, Office Manager, has worked for BWC since its inception and before that with the family business C&C Sons Paint and Body Shop. She oversees all office operations for BWC, ensuring the company’s performance on the job is matched by excellent support for all financial, client, and administrative functions.
