BWC’s founder, Carlos Cardenas, came to the United States in 1967 with his parents and siblings from Mexico seeking better opportunities. Mr. Cardenas eventually attended college and joined the US Army eventually reaching the rank of Captain. While stationed in the Republic of Panama, Mr. Cardenas was heavily involved with contracting for the US Army for local projects in Panama and Central America. After leaving the US Army in 1999, Mr. Cardenas took advantage of his contracting experience and decided to open operations back in his hometown of San Antonio. One year later, Mr. Cardenas founded Business World Company. In 2007, it was decided to change the legal structure of the company to an LLC which required the name to be changed to Business World Contractors, LLC, however the company still does business as Business World Company. Mr. Cardenas has included the expertise of family members who have first-rate work experience, as well as non-family individuals who bring additional experience to each BWC Construction project. To further increase capacity, the company has developed partnerships with a solid group of highly qualified subcontractors. These select subcontractors have demonstrated the ability to work together well and deliver their services at a level that meets BWC high standards.
BWC has performed Federal projects across the United States utilizing a network of subcontractors. To establish a wider presence, the company has established satellite offices in Sprakers, NY, Central Point, OR, and Kansas City. As a small, minority-owned, family-operated business, BWC is able to offer more than high quality project management and execution. The company also provides the reliability, honesty, and personal interaction that ensure satisfaction at all stages. A firm commitment to each project’s success as well as the long-term growth of the business have created positive relationships with all of BWC’s previous and current clients. |
